Press Conference Call with DNC on John McCain's 'Disgraceful' Week on the
Economy

WASHINGTON, July 10 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Democratic National
Committee will hold a press conference call tomorrow, Friday, July 11th, at
1:00 P.M. EDT to discuss John McCain's disastrous week on economic issues on
the campaign trail that have underscored how out of touch John McCain, his
allies and advisers are on the economic challenges America's families are
facing.

    Having "raised eyebrows" by calling Social Security an absolute disgrace,
announcing a balanced budget plan that by all reviews didn't add up, skipping
a vote on Medicare to ensure seniors and military families have the health
care they need, and continuing to receive advice from economic policy advisor
Phil Gramm after he said the economic slump is "a mental recession" and that
Americans are a "a nation of whiners," "McCain has had a particularly rough go
