Arianna Huffington, Creator and Editor of The Huffington Post will speak
with Bill Maher, political commentator and talk show host on Thursday, May 22,
2008,
at the Writers Guild Theater as a part of TOWN HALL'S ongoing Writers Bloc
series.
Huffington, a nationally syndicated columnist, author of 11 books, and
co-host of the radio program "Left, Right, and Center," will be discussing her
latest book, "Right is Wrong: How the Lunatic Fringe Hijacked America, Shredded
the Constitution, And Made Us All Less Safe." In it she gives her suggestions
for how concerned Americans can reclaim the White House and the country.
Huffington launched her political blog in 2005, and in 2006 she was named
one
of TIME Magazine's 100 most influential people. She was nominated for an
Emmy(R) award along with the writing staff of "Politically Incorrect" in
1996.
Maher, former host of the talk show "Politically Incorrect," currently hosts
"Real
Time with Bill Maher." He is also the author of several books. Maher's satirical
television shows have been nominated for Writers' Guild of America and Emmy(R)
awards.
