IIJ to Offer IIJ FiberAccess/A Service for ACCA Fiber Access

Sun Jun 1, 2008 10:03pm EDT
TOKYO, June 2, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Internet Initiative Japan Inc. (IIJ)
(Nasdaq:IIJI) (TSE1:3774), one of Japan's leading Internet access and
comprehensive network solutions providers, today announced the release of IIJ
FiberAccess/A Service for fiber optic lines provided by ACCA Networks Co., Ltd.

IIJ FiberAccess/A Service is a best-effort Internet access service using ACCA
Networks' fiber optic lines. The service provides transmission speeds up to 10
Mbps, and a maximum of 1/16C dedicated IP addresses. IIJ oversees the entire
service -- from acquiring access lines to maintenance -- providing total support
for building a network environment, whether installing Internet access lines or
WAN lines for Internet-based VPNs and other applications. This new service is
covered by IIJ's Service Level Agreement (*) for the domestic backbone, and it
is also IPv6 compatible, which makes it ideal for customers with broadband
networks.

IIJ has been providing fiber optic Internet connectivity services to corporate
customers via the IIJ FiberAccess/F Service, which is compatible with the NTT
East/West B-FLET'S and FLET'S Hikari Premium services, and with the introduction
of the IIJ FiberAccess/A Service, IIJ now offers a richer lineup of broadband
Internet access services for corporate customers. This service is compatible
with IIJ's proprietary network management solution, the IIJ SMF sx Service, and
the fully-managed IIJ Managed VPN PRO Service. Multi-carrier network redundancy
can be easily established by combining IIJ FiberAccess/A Service with IIJ
FiberAccess/F Service.

IIJ will continue to expand its service line-up to support the building of
optimum network environments for our customers.

(*) IIJ guarantees an average round trip delay of less than 30 ms per month on
IIJ's backbone.
