Electro-Chemical Technologies Ltd. Reports That the Auction of Nine of Its U.S. Patents Has Been Completed and Approved by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court
ST. LOUIS, Mo.--(Business Wire)--
Electro-Chemical Technologies Ltd. (Pink Sheets: ELCHQ) announced
today that the auction of nine of its United States patents in the
field of "electrochemical activation of water" has been completed and
approved by the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern
District of Missouri (the auction process was previously announced on
May 14, 2008). The successful bidders in the auction, John and Cheryl
O'Shaughnessy, submitted a final bid of $4,830,000 for the purchase of
the patent portfolio. The entire amount of the $4,830,000 purchase
price will be paid in cash. The bid was approved by the Bankruptcy
Court, and closing of the purchase and sale of the patent portfolio is
expected to occur on or prior to July 15, 2008.
