Hundreds of thousands of Halloween revelers are expected to flock to Santa
Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood for the 2009 West Hollywood Halloween Costume
Carnaval on Halloween night, Saturday, October 31, 2009. One of the world`s
largest Halloween celebrations, the West Hollywood Halloween Costume Carnaval
will be held from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. along Santa Monica Boulevard from Doheny
Drive to La Cienega Boulevard.
Due to the City of West Hollywood`s annual Halloween Costume Carnaval, the
following streets will be temporarily CLOSED as follows:
* Santa Monica Boulevard between La Cienega Boulevard and Doheny Drive from 1
p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2009 through 6 a.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2009.
* Robertson Boulevard between Melrose Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard from 1
p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2009 through 6 a.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2009.
* San Vicente Boulevard between Cynthia Street and Melrose Avenue from 2 p.m. on
Saturday, October 31, 2009 through 6 a.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2009.
* La Cienega Boulevard between Holloway Drive and Santa Monica Boulevard from 6
p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2009 through 6 a.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2009.
* Sunset Boulevard eastbound and westbound turn-lanes onto La Cienega Boulevard
from 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2009 through 7 a.m. on Sunday, November 1,
2009.
* La Peer Drive eastbound turn lane onto Santa Monica Boulevard from 3 p.m. on
Saturday, October 31, 2009 through 7 a.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2009.
The City of West Hollywood will suspend permit parking for the Halloween
Carnaval on Saturday,October 31, 2009 from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Sunday, November
1, 2009. Halloween Carnaval visitors are asked to observe the boundaries of West
Hollywood, if parking occurs in the City of Beverly Hills or City of Los
Angeles, all parking restrictions must be observed.
The City of West Hollywood will be offering a CityLine shuttle service on
Halloween during the hours of 5:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. The route will operate along
Santa Monica Boulevard between La Cienega Boulevard and Fuller Avenue.
