TN-K Energy Group Inc. Announces Commencement of Drilling Operations

CROSSVILLE, Tenn., Nov. 10, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TN-K Energy Group Inc.
(Pink Sheets:TNKY) announced today that the company commenced drilling
operations on the David Irwin Well #1 on November 9, 2009. The maximum depth of
the known producing formations in the immediate area is approximately 2,000
feet. The company anticipates completion of drilling operations within 10 days.

"We feel this lease has great potential due to several producing wells in the
immediate area," said Ken Page, the company's President. There are several
producing wells in six known formations within approximately 5,000 feet of this
lease. The known producing formations are the Granvelle, Sunnybrook, Stones
River, Murfreesbro, Wells Creek and the Knox formations
