The EqCare service provides customers with an Internet connection
and router that serves as an independent hotline that exists alongside
the existing network. Customers also receive a dedicated computer
terminal that contains a pre-configured Early Earthquake Warning
Analysis System, and by assembling the system, the customer can start
using the Early Earthquake Warnings immediately. When using the
special display device, the expected strength and arrival time of the
shock is displayed along with the activation of a warning buzzer, and
a countdown display, notifying the customer of impending danger. This
system can also be connected to the company PA system to notify
employees of the broadcast, giving them time to prepare for the jolt,
or to shut down running machinery in the factory or warehouse.

The IIJ Group will continue to develop network services to meet
the needs of our customers.
