SAN JOSE, Calif.--(Business Wire)--
Jungo Ltd., an NDS Group company and a leading provider of software solutions
for residential gateways, today announced that ZON TVCabo, a subsidiary of ZON
Multimedia and Portugal`s largest triple-play cable operator, has chosen a suite
of Jungo`s broadband software solutions to support the operator`s residential
and business customers. ZON TVCabo has selected Jungo`s OpenRG and OpenSMB
DOCSIS 3.0 gateway middleware for its new ZON Net Wideband and ZON Empresas home
and small office gateways, as well as the newly available SCR (Support Cost
Reduction) offering for cable operators and the JRMS (Jungo Remote Management
System).

"We were seeking to provide our customers with DOCSIS 3.0 gateways with wireless
and voice capabilities that deliver the highest possible value while minimizing
our capital expenditure. We realized early on that hardware and software do not
need to come from the same vendor and, in fact, that the separation of the two
is a great way to enable true flexibility now and in the future," said Luis
Lopes, Executive Director of ZON Multimedia. Nuno Sanches, Internet Products
Director at ZON TVCabo added: "We selected Jungo for the software side of the
equation as they are the market experts in hardware-agnostic gateway
middleware."

Using Jungo technology, home subscribers can enjoy the broadest spectrum of
multimedia offerings, including complete broadband access, 802.11n wireless, IP
telephony, highly secure high-speed web access, print sharing, file sharing,
UpNP AV media sharing - all without the need for additional devices. Small
business users will benefit from Jungo`s "office-in-a-box" solution that
delivers a wide range of valuable business features such as advanced PBX over
SIP capabilities for multiple users as well as two PacketCable voice ports for
fax and a credit card swipe reader, all with minimized setup and maintenance
costs.

"Our relationship with ZON TVCabo represents another key step forward in Jungo`s
broadband business development," said Eran Rom, Jungo CEO. "More and more
operators are realizing the significant benefits of our flexible broadband
software solutions. TVCabo is a forward-thinking company who were quick to
recognize the trend towards implementing hardware-agnostic technologies, and
seized on it. We are very pleased to work with these true innovators in support
of their next-generation DOCSIS 3.0 wireless gateway."

In addition to the OpenRG residential gateway middleware for consumers and
OpenSMB, business gateway middleware for small and home offices (SOHO), ZON
TVCabo also chose the Jungo Support Cost Reduction (SCR) solution for cable
service providers, whose availability was announced in April 2009. Jungo's SCR
solution is an intelligent mechanism residing both in the cable gateway and on
the central office side which identifies problems in the home network, activates
a "self healing" mechanism or provides clear troubleshooting guidance to
subscribers when needed. It also equips customer support staff with a range of
tools to quickly identify and resolve problems remotely, thereby significantly
reducing operational costs and increasing subscriber satisfaction.
