International Game Technology Implements New SEC Rule for Internet Posting of
Proxy Materials
RENO, Nev., Jan. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- International Game
Technology (NYSE: IGT) today began mailing its "Notice of Internet
Availability of Proxy Materials" for its 2008 annual meeting of shareholders
under the new Notice and Access rule of the U.S. Securities and Exchange
Commission (SEC). The rule allows companies to furnish proxy materials to
shareholders via the Internet as an alternative to the traditional approach of
delivering a printed set to each shareholder. Shareholders who previously
consented to delivery of proxy materials electronically via email will not
receive the separate Notice of Internet Availability of Proxy Materials and
will instead continue to receive a full set of the company's proxy materials
by email.
The proxy statement for the 2008 annual meeting and the 2007 Annual Report
to Shareholders are available on the Investor Relations page of the company's
website at http://www.IGT.com/InvestorRelations. IGT shareholders also may
obtain hard copies of the company's proxy materials for the 2008 annual
meeting -- and may elect to receive hard copies for all future
meetings -- free of charge by following the instructions provided on the
company's website or in the "Notice of Internet Availability of Proxy
Materials" that was mailed to shareholders on or about January 14, 2008.
The 2008 annual meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2008, at
11:00 a.m., PST, at the company's headquarters in Reno, Nevada at 9295
Prototype Drive.
