Germany vs. UAE Today at Al Nasr Club

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates--(Business Wire)--
The German National Football Team is scheduled to play the UAE National Team in
an exhibition match today at 10PM in Al Maktoum Stadium at Al Nasr Club. The
friendly match aims to have an exciting line up featuring the best players from
both sides, which should provide for great family entertainment and an action
packed game. 

Sheikh Maktoum was quoted as saying, "We are truly honoured to be hosting such a
prestigious event at Al Nasr Sports Club. The German team is globally well
respected in the world of football and we are privileged to have them playing
the UAE National Team. It should be an exciting event where fans will get to see
their favorite stars from both teams in their truest form. We are also planning
more events such as this one throughout the year in line with the numerous
prestigious sporting attractions being hosted within the city. I would also like
to thank the federation for all the hard work they have put in to make this
momentous event such a success." 

The Football Federation also further extended their Arabian hospitality by
hosting a dinner reception for the visiting German team at the world renowned
Burj Al Arab Hotel as a token of appreciation and gratitude. His Highness Sheikh
Maktoum bin Hasher Al Maktoum was also in attendance. 

Tickets for the event can be purchased directly at the stadium or at Virgin
Megastores.

Al Nasr Club:

The Al Nasr Sports Club is an icon of UAE`s sporting heritage and is one of the
oldest football clubs in the UAE.Al-Nasr Sports Club (English: Victory) is a
football team located in Dubai and plays in the UAE League. Al-Nasr, literally
translating to "victory" in Arabic was founded in 1945.They finished sixth in
the UAE League in 2008-09.
