Day Software Strengthens Its Board of Directors With Two New Nominations

Tue Apr 28, 2009 11:32pm EDT
BASEL, Switzerland and NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., April 28, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --
Day Software (SIX:DAYN) (OTCQX:DYIHY), a leading provider of content management
and content infrastructure software, today announced the nominations of Barry
Bycoff and David Arnott to the Board of Directors of Day Software. Elections for
both nominees will be held on May 19, 2009 at Day's Annual Shareholder meeting
in Basel, Switzerland.

Barry Bycoff brings over 25 years of experience in the computer and software
industry to Day Software. Bycoff is currently Executive Chairman at Progress
Software (Nasdaq:PRGS), a leading supplier of application infrastructure
software with revenue of $516M in FY2008 where he has served on the Board of
Directors since March 2007. In his role as Executive Chairman, Bycoff is
responsible for directing Progress Software's corporate strategy and growth
initiatives. Prior to his role as Executive Chairman, Bycoff was Venture Partner
at Pequot Ventures, where he worked with portfolio companies on their operations
and investment decisions and drove the $310M acquisition in 2007 by eBay of
StubHub, a leading online marketplace for the resale of event tickets.

Bycoff brings to Day's board demonstrated ability to build companies into highly
profitable market leaders. In 1996, he founded Netegrity and created a new
product category for enterprise security software. As Chairman, CEO and
President, Barry directed the company's growth from publicly held start up to
one of the fastest growing software companies in the industry with a dominant
market share and revenues of close to $100 million when the company was acquired
by Computer Associates for approximately $450 million at the end of November
2004.

Bycoff's history with Netegrity dates back to 1993, when he became CEO of
Software Developer's Corporation (SDC), a distributor of technical software and
hardware. Bycoff joined SDC when it was feeling the effects of a changing
software distribution business. Turning the company around, he managed to double
it in size and return it to profitability. It was through conversations with
customers that he realized that, as the Internet took off, there would be a huge
need for e-business security software. Subsequent to the Board buying into his
vision, SDC was sold and the funds were used to create Netegrity in 1996.

Prior to leading Netegrity, Bycoff was Chief Operating Officer at MapInfo
Corporation (MAPS), where he spent three years developing the company into the
leader in the geographic information systems market. Before that, he was at
Prime Computer where he served as Vice President of Marketing and ran several
business units. Bycoff also currently serves as Chairman of the Board at Aveksa,
a leading provider of Enterprise Access Governance software and on the Board of
Visitors at Duke University Pratt School of Engineering.

Day's second nominee to its Board of Directors, David Arnott is currently Member
of the Executive Committee and Chief Financial Officer of TEMENOS Group AG
(SIX:TEMN), a leading provider of integrated modular core banking systems to
over 600 customers in over 120 countries. Since joining Temenos in 2001, David
has guided Temenos' rapid growth to become a global enterprise software leader
in the Finance vertical with over $400M in revenue in 2008. Prior to joining the
Group, Arnott worked as Chief Financial Officer of Socieete Europeenne de
Communication in Luxembourg and from 1996 to 1999 held a number of senior
finance positions at Anglo-American plc, a mining and precious metals trading
company.

"We are excited about the nomination of these two industry veterans to our
board," said Michael Moppert, Chairman of Day Software. "Their experiences
building leading global software enterprises will give Day additional strength
as we accelerate our growth in 2009 and continue to drive adoption of our
marketing-leading CQ5 platform."

Accused 9/11 plotters may face NY "Guantanamo"

NEW YORK (Reuters) - If the men accused of plotting the September 11 attacks wonder what conditions they might face when they are moved to New York from Guantanamo Bay for trial, they can expect solitary confinement, 23-hour-a-day lockdowns, constant video surveillance and almost no visitors.
