Photonera Acquires Intexys To Expand Into High Volume Data Center Market

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(Business Wire)--
Photonera, one of the leading providers of integrated photonics solutions for
ultra-dense, high-speed interconnection systems, today announced its acquisition
of Intexys Photonics, a leading manufacturer of high-speed optical modules,
based in Toulouse, France. 

Founded in 2002, Intexys is the first company to successfully commercialize the
use of micro-assembly hybridization technologies for the production of Terabit
Parallel optical modules for high volume manufacturing.Commenting on the
acquisition, Dr. Tom Fong, Vice President of Marketing at Photonera said, "I am

hybridization platform, Intexys has played a key role in driving the commercial
growth of 10Gbit/s parallel optics solutions and has enabled a large number of

Under the terms of this agreement, Photonera will acquire all assets and IP

will retain key employees of Intexys to continue serving the current customers.

well-patented and industrial proven flip-chip hybridization technology. The
