ModSpace Recognized with Awards of Distinction from Modular Building Institute for Projects in Healthcare, Education and Retail Markets

BERWYN, Pa.--(Business Wire)--
The Modular Building Institute (MBI) has honored ModSpace, one of
North America's largest modular building providers, with first place
and honorable mention awards at the 2008 MBI convention last week. The
MBI "Awards of Distinction" is the modular industry's premier award
competition for MBI members and is open to building manufacturers,
dealers, and product and service providers.

First place awards received by ModSpace included a cutting-edge
marketing and sales center in the permanent retail category, a modular
diagnostic imaging addition to a Veterans Administration hospital in
the permanent healthcare category, and a marketing award for the new
ModSpace.com web site. The company also received an honorable mention
award for the modular rebuilding of the storm-damaged Holy Cross High
School in New Orleans in the temporary education category.

The building project entries submitted by ModSpace were judged by
a panel of industry experts on architectural excellence, technical
innovation, cost effectiveness, energy efficiency, and calendar days
to complete. Marketing pieces were judged on objectives, creativity
and results.

"ModSpace is proud of the recognition it continues to receive from
MBI for the outstanding projects our sales, operations and
construction services teams deliver for our customers," said Keith
Shipp, senior vice-president of sales and marketing for ModSpace. "We
also want to recognize our building manufacturer network across North
America that enables us to deliver innovative solutions to our
customer's space challenges."

   About the Project Awards:

Healthcare Industry - Veteran's Association MRI Building

When the VA wanted to add a state-of-the-art MRI diagnostic suite
to its existing facility--constructed in Arizona in 1889 and
designated a historical building--ModSpace's healthcare specialty
team, MedBuild, completed a modular addition to the building's second
floor in 158 days. Project challenges included matching the exterior
of the existing historical building and installing radio frequency
shielding in the factory for the MRI unit's temperature-sensitive
magnet.

Retail/Hospitality Industry - Fan Pier Marketing Center

ModSpace worked with Turner Construction to design and install a
cutting-edge modular marketing center for a new development project
along the Boston, Massachusetts waterfront. Configured using four 10
by 50-foot modular units, and completed in 84 days, the Fan Pier
marketing center features a glass curtain wall giving visitors an
unobstructed view of the surrounding area.

Education Industry - Holy Cross High School

Hurricane Katrina completely destroyed the campus of Holy Cross
High School in New Orleans, which had been in continuous operation for
130 years. ModSpace stepped in to create a modular building campus
consisting of nearly 31,000 square feet of classrooms, labs, offices,
library and cafeteria in only 75 days. The buildings were installed on
six-foot high foundations and include over 22,000 feet of elevated
walkways.

In addition to the many projects ModSpace has delivered in the
Gulf region, the company continues to support post-Katrina rebuilding
efforts with the 2008 sponsorship of Tour du Rouge, a 495-mile bicycle
tour benefiting American Red Cross chapters along the Gulf Coast.
