TAIPEI, Taiwan--(Business Wire)--
Once again AutoTronics is turning on the juice on the hottest
sector in motoring. This event, otherwise known at the Taipei Int'l
Automobile Electronics Show could be said to be what you get if you
couple-up AMPA with electronics - Taiwan's largest industry. It's no
state secret that the fastest growing sector in motoring are the many
splendid electronic components which are rapidly being put on wheels.
That importance was underscored at last year's AutoTronics Taipei
2007 where massive success has started participants to demand for
booths and show space. And that spurred the organizers, TAITRA (Taiwan
External Trade Development Council) and TEEMA (the Taiwan Electrical
and Electronic Manufacturers' Association) to double the venue two
show areas from one.
AutoTronics got further souped-up with the organizers plugging in
two other related shows (MOTORCYCLE TAIWAN and TAIPEI AMPA) to run at
the same time. The results have been astounding! All three shows have
benefited from this twin-splice with exhibitors and buyers signing up
in record numbers.
Check the Numbers! See the Exhibitors!
AutoTronics 2008 hosts 181 exhibitors with 419 booths 6.1% and
9.7% respective increases on last year's event.
It's across this venue where you can meet such global names as
MITAC, TomTom, semi-conductor giant Renesas Tech, H.K. Fujitsu
Microelectronics, U.S. telecom software giant Telcordia Technologies,
Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC), E-Lead, Lite-On,
Universal Scientific Industrial Co, Hamg Shing, Taiwan Calsonic,
Everlight, Nanya, Tung Thih, and Mobiletron.
Full profile in E-motoring!
This year's AutoTronics Taipei includes LED products, GPS
products, automobile electronic products, engine management & power
train systems, chassis & brake control systems, suspension, automobile
body electrical systems, automobile electronic components & parts,
automobile semiconductors, testing equipment & services, and
production equipment for automobile electronics.
There will be two theme pavilions featuring Driving Safety &
Security, and Telematics. Meanwhile, associated events include the
AutoTronics Innovation Awards and the 4th AutoTronics Forum and
seminars on industrial trends for market and technology exchanges.
One of the two theme pavilions, Driving Safety & Security,
documents how over the past two or three decades Taiwanese electronic
businesses have moved up the food chain from being low-tech
traditional parts and accessories manufacturers to become savvy hi
tech auto electronics suppliers.
The Telematics pavilion on the other hand underscores the
competence of Taiwanese IT businesses in the information and
communication high-tech industry. With long-term investment in related
R&D and production, Taiwanese manufacturers are famed for their
excellent integration and innovation abilities which have let them
quickly occupy a share in supplying the global hunger for telematics
software and hardware.
The right stuff for Taiwanese is their innate manufacturing
experience which has let them apply the latest technology and
techniques to consolidate in a climate of rapid industrial change.
To encourage R&D, innovation, production value, and international
cooperation of the related industries, the organizers are specially
staging the 2008 AutoTronics Innovation Awards.
The Awards let all participants better understand international
competitiveness of various suppliers of electronic components & parts
and finished products. It is sort of a giant screen test for all the
latest products related to motoring electronic components & parts and
automobile finished electronic products.
AND THE WINNERS ARE...
After much vetting from scores of entries, four manufacturers with
five products have stood out. In the field of automobile electronic
components and parts, the winner is the Hong Kong Fujitsu
Microelectronics's IDB-1394 compatible IC chips MB88388A and MB88389.
In the finished automobile electronic products, winners were the
Baoruh Electronic's Flying Tank BR6870 Multi-Functional Fleet
Management System Platform and BR6828 Driving Record and Fleet
Management System Platform, AiBelieve's Voice Interactive Automobile
