Sat Jul 12, 2008 6:26pm EDT
WASHINGTON, July 12 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued the
following statement on the death of Tony Snow:

"Tony Snow always showed the kindness of his Midwestern American roots.
Whether from the anchor desk at Fox News or behind the podium in the White
House press room, Tony showed a deep passion for his beliefs and a remarkable
ability to connect with the American people. Even through his courageous
battle with cancer, Tony Snow showed us how to live life: with strength,
determination, and with a brave and smiling face.

"To Tony Snow's colleagues and friends at the White House and at Fox News, I
offer my deepest sympathies. As Speaker of the House, I offer condolences to
Tony's wife, Jill, and their three children, Kendall, Robbie and Kristi on
behalf of all of our colleagues. I hope it is some comfort that so many
throughout America and the world are thinking of them and praying for them in
this difficult time."
