MidAmerican Energy Company Announces Preferred Stock Dividends

DES MOINES, Iowa--(Business Wire)--The board of directors of MidAmerican Energy Company has declared
the regular quarterly dividends on its seven series of preferred
stock, payable March 1, 2008, to shareholders of record as of Feb. 8,
2008.

   The following is a list of each series of preferred stock and the
quarterly dividend:
