Covenant House Missouri celebrates 10 years of service for homeless youth

ST. LOUIS, Oct. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- It's an evening you won't want to miss as
local stars come together for fun and philanthropy to raise money for Covenant
House Missouri.

Today's uncertain economy has created extra financial challenges for Covenant
House Missouri during a time when homeless teens need it the most. To meet
this challenge, Covenant House Missouri and baseball legend Stan Musial will
host the Stan Musial "Hall of Fame" Gala at the Ritz-Carlton Grand Ballroom in
Clayton on Saturday, October 24, 2009. This evening will feature cocktails,
dinner, live and silent auctions, and a special tribute ceremony lead by Rene
Knott of KSDK-TV.

"Raising funds to provide services our youth so desperately need is vital. We
are thrilled that, in addition to raising money, our gala will be raising
awareness of Covenant House Missouri and our support services for homeless
youth. During the gala, we will also be having a special memorial tribute to
our long time former board members, Don Suntrup and Mike Ernst, who helped us
practice our mission over the last 20 years with their commitment to Shelter
the Children and Covenant House Missouri," said Suzanne Wagener, Covenant
House Missouri Executive Director.

Established in 1998, Covenant House Missouri provides support services to
homeless, runaway, and at-risk youth between ages 16 and 21. Covenant House
Missouri serves youth from all over the state but is currently the only
nonprofit providing services to homeless youth in the City of St. Louis.
