                                  BGLOBAL PLC

("Bglobal" or "the Company" or "the Group")

                       BGLOBAL WINS OPUS ENERGY CONTRACT

Bglobal plc (AIM: BGBL), the leading smart metering and energy data services
company, announces that it has been awarded a contract to deliver meter and data
services to Opus Energy. This £3 million deal will see Opus Energy continue to
fulfil its commitment to become the first energy company in the UK to offer
smart meters free to all its customers.

The contract is for the delivery of electricity smart metering, remote data
collection, meter operations and the provision of energy management software to
Opus Energy's customers. Opus Energy is planning a fast roll-out of the service
with the first batch of 5,000 being installed now.

Opus Energy is a leading independent supplier of electricity offering
tailor-made solutions for the UK SME and corporate markets. Its market-leading
innovations are customer driven; helping businesses to reduce their energy spend
through competitive pricing and energy saving initiatives

Opus Energy is the first energy company to offer all its customers smart meters.
The scheme was launched in September 2007 and is on target to install 10,000
smart meters in the first year. By providing smart metering solutions, Opus
Energy is enabling its customers to proactively manage their electricity
consumption. Along with other energy efficiency initiatives, Opus Energy also
helps its customers reduce their carbon footprint by supplying electricity
sourced from renewable and cleaner CHP power.

Tony Stiff, commercial director at Bglobal said: "This contract provides further
endorsement of the financial benefits and associated environmental advantages of
using smart meters. Opus Energy is taking an innovative approach by providing
their meters for free and this represents a landmark agreement in the industry.
The fact that our market leading technology is so competitively priced, makes it
cost effective for energy companies like Opus Energy to provide new and enhanced
services to differentiate them in the supply of electricity. Our cost model made
it possible for Opus Energy to provide smart meters free of charge to its
customers which was a crucial requirement for the company."

Charlie Crossley Cooke, managing director of Opus Energy said:
Following on from a successful pilot initiative, customers are most impressed
with the accuracy of their bills. The smart meters provide up-to-date meter
reads which means that customers can have access to detailed information about
their energy consumption. This is an essential step for customers wanting to
reduce their costs through energy saving initiatives.
