SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(Business Wire)--
This week on the California Lottery's Big Spin show three
contestants won a total of $220,000. The show aired statewide
Saturday, May 24, 2008. The grand total won this week was $242,500!
This week's show had two contestants try their luck at the Fantasy
5 Dream Machine. Cheryl Bacon, a retiree from Azusa, didn't believe
the letter she received from the Lottery inviting to the show. "I
didn't believe it until I received a phone call," explained Bacon, who
wants to take the vacation of a lifetime to Italy with her $75,000
prize. Hasan Daabas from San Diego was next up at the Fantasy 5 Dream
Machine. Daabas won $70,000, and will pay off his house and put money
away for his childrens' education funds.
Jose Landaverde, a construction worker from Covina was the
contestant who outplayed nine others in Aces High. He won $75,000 and
plans to invest it and use some as a down payment on a home.
