KHANQUERING Texas, Oklahoma, & Kansas. The aggressively expanding 23 unit
chain operates locations through franchised and corporate stores throughout
AZ, CO, IA, IL, MN, NM, NV, TN and TX. Additional locations in KS, MO, TN, OK
and TX are pending upon construction or site selection. Genghis Grill plans
to open 12 more corporate units in Dallas & San Antonio and 17 additional
franchised locations in Houston, Austin, Oklahoma City, and Tulsa, within the
next 36 months.
Mongolian Stir Fry is an interactive style of exhibition cooking modeled
after a centuries-old legend. According to the legend, 12th Century Mongol
armies, led by the mighty warrior, Genghis Khan, heated their shields over
open fires to grill food in the battle fields. At Genghis Grill, diners "build
their own bowls" from a selection of fresh meats, vegetables, sauces, and
spices in Khan's Kitchen (a food bar featuring an array of more than 80
ingredients). Guests then hand the creation over to one of the Grill Masters,
who cooks it on a large, round grill (6-7 ft) right before their eyes.
Genghis Grill has been voted a "HOT CONCEPT" by Nations Restaurant News
and is listed as a "TOP 5000" franchise by Inc. Magazine. Currently the former
founder of Pizza Hut, Frank Carney, is a franchisee of the concept.
The ideal real estate location for Genghis Grill has 3000 to 3500 square
feet with great visibility, preferably on an end cap with a patio, in areas of
heavy traffic. Central business districts, near regional malls, near movie
theatres, shared pad buildings (i.e. w/Starbucks, other national retailers),
lifestyle centers and town centers situated in affluent communities and
neighborhoods would be required.
