LOS ANGELES, Nov. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- United under a same mission, music super

"The 'Unete Con La Gota de la Vida, Benefiting City of Hope' campaign was
conceived to create awareness within the Latin community about the importance
of bone marrow donation, and thus encourage the community to register with the
National Bone Marrow Registry which City of Hope currently promotes. For the
first time, a group of A-list Hispanic musical artists have joined the cause
in an effort to launch an unprecedented campaign where they will record an
epic song: 'La Gota de la Vida,'" said Salvador Trevino, co-founder of the
campaign to benefit City of Hope and Executive Producer of the project.

"We'd like to thank these talented artists for their time, energy and
commitment to the recording of 'La Gota de la Vida'," said Scott Loyola,
Associate Vice President of Development for City of Hope, top center in the
investigation and treatment of cancer in the United States and beneficiary of
the project. "Through the support from the artists, recording labels and
sponsoring companies, we can help ensure wider outreach to the Latino
community and encourage more to join the 'National Bone Marrow Donor Registry'
while raising funds for advanced research and treatment at City of Hope."

The large number of singers that are part of the group at this time will
converge in Las Vegas this up-coming week of November 3-6 during the Latin
Grammy 2009 celebration. Additional recordings will happen in Los Angeles and
Miami to record the musical theme written exclusively for City of Hope by
pianist and composer Arthur Hanlon.

"The campaign 'Unete Con La Gota de la Vida, Benefiting City of Hope' has
touched my heart like no other project throughout my career. The campaign's
image, a hand holding a drop of life-inspired the music and lyrics of the
song. I feel honored to be part of such a noble cause," shared Hanlon.

The first epic recording session, where dozens of artists will unite to
deliver their voices for this unprecedented cause, will take place in Las
Vegas between November 3rd and 6th. Additional recording sessions will happen
in Miami and Los Angeles. Besides the artists confirmed already, the list
includes Aleks Syntek, Noel Schrajis, German Montero, Shaila Durcal, and
Marcos Witt among others.

During the same dates, the filming of the video clip will take place, led by
talented director Simon Brand and produced by Mauricio Osorio from Aluna
Films. The video will boost the circulation of the message, which, along with
the song, will be spread to the world.

Luis Medina is the Executive Producer of the "Unete Con La Gota de la Vida,
Benefiting City of Hope" project. Medina is the President of UNO Productions,
and two decades ago made history with a similar gathering of artists for a
hymn written for UNICEF, known as "Cantare Cantaras." The list of over 50
luminaries in Latin music included Julio Iglesias, Jose Luis Rodriguez,
Vicente Fernandez, Miami Sound Machine and Placido Domingo.

Luis Medina affirms: "I'm positive this epic recording will touch the world
much the same way as 'We are the World' and 'Cantare Cantaras' did in their
time, two projects which remain in people's hearts forever."

Universal Music Group is the music label that will promote and distribute the
song. All earnings generated from its sale will be donated to "Unete Con La
Gota de la Vida, Benefiting City of Hope." The song and video will have a
special premiere in Los Angeles on February 11th, 2010.

Today, history is about to be written through the historic collaboration of a
countless number of Hispanic artists uniting for the first time for this noble
cause.
