AGRI, Turkey (Reuters) - Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan told Reuters he expected his ruling AK Party to win another large parliamentary majority in national elections due on July 22.

"I have no doubts about that (winning a large majority of seats)," Erdogan said in an interview aboard his plane during an election campaign in eastern Turkey late on Tuesday.

Erdogan said his centre-right party, which has roots in political Islam, hoped to win two thirds, or 367, seats in the 550-seat parliament, the number needed to be able to pass constitutional amendments.

"I cannot speak on behalf of the people but from what I get from the people at the rallies it looks like we are going towards it," he said through an interpreter.
