BANGKOK, May 12 (Reuters) - Thai stocks are likely to open
higher on Monday after better-than-expected quarterly earnings
from energy firms, including Banpu BANP.BK, but firmer oil
prices may prompt selling of petrochemical firms, analysts
said.
Investors will also focus on first-quarter earnings of
index heavyweight PTT PCL (PTT.BK) and big-cap Advanced Info
Service ADVA.BK due out this week, they said.
The main index .SETI is expected to move in a range of
845-852 points, the analysts said.
On Friday, the benchmark SET index fell 0.41 percent to
846.71 points, pausing rises over the past four days, due to
profit taking in energy shares.
