BANGKOK, May 20 (Reuters) - Thai stocks are expected to extend gains on Tuesday, boosted by foreign fund inflows and energy companies as oil prices continue to rise, dealers said.

"Foreign investors should continue to snap up banks .SETB and oil firms .SETEN. It isn't about more positive views on our market, but this arrival should be speculation," a dealer at BT Securities said.

Resistance on the main index .SETI was likely at 875-880 points and support at 862-865 points, analysts said.

The Bank of Thailand's Monetary Policy Committee meets to review policy rates on Wednesday. It is likely to keep interest rates unchanged at 3.25 percent. Click on [ID:nBKK52886] for a Reuters poll.

On Friday, the benchmark SET index closed up 1.72 percent to a six-month closing high of 870.33 points, boosted by foreign buyings in energy firms .SETEN and bank .SETB. Click [TH/TRADING01] for cumulative trading value by investor type.
