- The People's Alliance for Democracy will press for the resignation of Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej and the impeachment of lawmakers trying to abolish the constitution endorsed by the referendum (BANGKOK POST)

- Commerce Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Mingkwan Saengsuwan plans to patent the full moon party -- an idea which an intellectual property law expert calls "impractical" (BANGKOK POST)

- The Assets Examination Committee will decide whether to take action against one more suspect in the CTX 9000 bomb scanner case (THE NATION)

- Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej said he would push ahead with his plan to issue an executive decree for a referendum on the proposed amendment of the 2007 Constitution (BANGKOK POST)

BUSINESS

- The central bank will consider an increase of 25-50 basis points to the policy interest rate next month if this month's inflation rate continues at above 5 percent, a financial source said (THE NATION)
