Indian shares rise 0.5 percent at open

MUMBAI, Dec 4 (Reuters) - India's main share index opened 0.53 percent higher on Tuesday, led by Bharti Airtel (BRTI.BO) and Reliance Industries (RELI.BO).

At 9:57 a.m. (0427 GMT), the benchmark BSE 30-share index was up 0.37 percent, or 72.93 points, at 19,676.34, with 25 of the components rising.

The broader 50-issue NSE index was up 0.47 percent at 5,892.75.

Shares in software firm iGate Global IGAT.BO rose 1.3 percent to 400.15 rupees, after the company said it set an exit price of 410 rupees a share for delisting its shares. The delisting offer opened on Nov. 26 and closed on Nov. 30. (Reporting by Devidutta Tripathy; Editing by Ranjit Gangadharan)
