Indian shares rise 2 pct in early deals

MUMBAI, Dec 24 (Reuters) - Indian shares rose almost 2 percent in early deals on Monday, led by Reliance Industries (RELI.BO) and Larsen & Toubro (LART.BO)

At 9:57 a.m. (0427 GMT), the 30-share BSE index .BSESN was up 1.74 percent, or 333.47 points, at 19,496.04, with all but two of the components rising. The index opened 0.76 percent up and rose as much as 2.01 percent.

The 50-issue NSE index was up 1.79 percent at 5,869.65. (Reporting by Devidutta Tripathy)
