India's Mahindra Feb vehicle sales up 43 pct yr/yr

MUMBAI, March 3 (Reuters) - Top Indian utility vehicle maker Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (MAHM.BO) said on Monday vehicle sales rose 43 percent in February to 19,675 units from 13,746 units a year earlier.

Mahindra said domestic auto sales, including utility vehicles, light commercial vehicles and three-wheelers, rose 39 percent to 18,380 units from 13,266 units a year earlier.

Mahindra, which makes the Logan sedan in a joint venture with Renault (RENA.PA), sold 2,751 cars in February.

Its exports more than doubled to 1,295 units from 480 units.

Mahindra, also India's top tractor maker, sold 6,522 tractors in February, down 7 percent from 7,003 units sold a year earlier. (Reporting by Rina Chandran; Editing by Ranjit Gangadharan)
