India's Tata Motors not eyeing Ford's Mazda stake

MUMBAI, Oct 13 (Reuters) - India's Tata Motors (TAMO.BO) is not in talks to buy Ford's (F.N) stake in Japan's Mazda Motor Co (7261.T), a company spokesman said on Monday.

"There have been reports in the media that Tata Motors is among potential buyers for shares in Mazda Motors. Tata Motors clarifies that the report is incorrect," spokesman Debasis Ray said.

Tata Motors, India's top vehicle maker, bought the Jaguar and Land Rover from Ford earlier this year for $2.3 billion. (Reporting by Prashant Mehra; Editing by John Mair)
