Indian shares fall more than 0.5 pct early

MUMBAI, Dec 29 (Reuters) - Indian shares fell more than 0.5 percent early on Monday in line with weaker regional shares, with outsourcers leading the fall.

Shares in Satyam Computer Services (SATY.BO) fell as much as 4.4 percent before rebounding 1.4 percent after the country's No. 4 software services exporter said it would consider more options to improve its business practices, including strengthening corporate governance. [ID:nBOM418074]

At 10:01 a.m. (0431 GMT), the 30-share main BSE index .BSESN was down 0.67 percent, at 9,258.69, after briefly moving into positive territory.

The 50-share NSE index was down 0.72 percent to 2,836.80. (Reporting by Narayanan Somasundaram; Editing by Ranjit Gangadharan)
