India's Ranbaxy gets U.S. nod for generic Topamax

NEW DELHI, March 30 (Reuters) - India's Ranbaxy Laboratories (RANB.BO) said on Monday it had received the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's approval to make and sell topirimate tablets, used for the treatment of seizures.

The tablet is a generic version of epilepsy drug Topamax, owned by Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical Inc, a unit of Johnson & Johnson (JNJ.N). (Reporting by Devidutta Tripathy)
