Indian shares provisionally close down 5.9 pct

MUMBAI, July 6 (Reuters) - Indian shares provisionally fell 5.9 percent on Monday, as a much-hyped budget failed to live up to expectations. For budget details, see [ID:nSP190820]

The 30-share BSE index .BSESN provisionally closed down 877.38 points at 14,035.67 points, with 28 components losing.

The 50-share NSE index provisionally dropped 5.9 percent to 4,162.80. (Reporting by Janaki Krishnan)
