India's Suzlon Energy OKs raising up to $1.04 bln

MUMBAI, June 29 (Reuters) - India's Suzlon Energy Ltd (SUZL.BO) said on Monday its board has approved raising up to 50 billion rupees ($1.04 billion) through the issue of equity, debt or other instruments.

The board has also approved raising the investment limit by foreign funds to 49 percent from 24 percent now, it said in a notice to the stock exchange.

At the end of June 25, the company's order book position stood at 79.01 billion rupees, it said. ($1=47.9 rupees) (Reporting by Janaki Krishnan; Editing by Muralikumar Anantharaman)
