DEUTSCHE BANK SECURITIES

Deutsche Bank Securities said Thomas Widener has joined its global banking division as a managing director and vice chairman in the natural resources group.

MOELIS & CO

Moelis & Co said it hired former Bear Stearns banker Gregory Shaia.

FRANKLIN TEMPLETON INVESTMENTS (BEN.N)

Franklin Templeton named William Yun executive vice president of alternatives strategies. Vijay Advani has been named executive vice president of global distribution.

BOENNING & SCATTERGOOD

Boenning & Scattergood said Nancy Zeller-Landau joined the firm as director of equities and research. Zeller-Landau was most recently with Banc of America Securities.

NATIONAL LIFE GROUP

National Life Group's Thomas MacLeay said he will retire by year's end as president and chief executive, but remain chairman.

GREYLOCK CAPITAL MANAGEMENT

Greylock Capital said A.J. Mediratta joined as senior managing director. Mediratta was head of the international debt capital markets group at Bear Stearns. Greylock also hired former Bear Stearns bankers Andrey Popel, Anthony Bitz and Wei Yeh Sun.

BROADPOINT SECURITIES GROUP INC (BPSG.O)

The securities group said a team of six investment grade fixed income sales professionals from Bear Stearns has joined its debt capital markets division.

TUDOR INVESTMENT CORP

The asset management firm, led by veteran trader Paul Tudor Jones III, said it hired the former co-heads of Bear Stearns' distressed debt group to build a new credit business. [ID: nN10336004]

TIAA-CREF ASSET MANAGEMENT

The asset management group of TIAA-CREF named Nick Mencher managing director, head of consultant relations.

RESIDENTIAL FINANCE CORP

The mortgage lender announced continued expansion plans to hire between 75 and 100 people in the third quarter. The majority of hires will be in the company's headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, and Tampa, Florida.

UBS (UBSN.VX) (UBS.N)

The Swiss bank named Dmitry Vinogradov co-head of Russia/CIS equity research. Vinogradov, who will be based in Moscow, will also become head of the strategy and banking teams in Russia. He joins in August and returns to UBS from Citibank.

ABN AMRO ASSET MANAGEMENT (INDIA) LTD

ABN Amro Asset Management India named K C Reddy chief investment officer. Reddy joins from Charlemagne Capital (London).

STANDARD & POOR'S

The unit of McGraw-Hill Companies (MHP.N) named Tony Angel executive managing director and head of its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) business. Angel was previously with Linklaters.

BARCLAYS CAPITAL

The investment banking arm of Barclays Plc (BARC.L) named Wensheng Peng director and head of China research. Peng will be based in Hong Kong and joins from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. Barclays also named Howell James to the role of corporate affairs director. James joins from the cabinet office, government communications.

MORGAN STANLEY (MS.N)

The asset manager appointed Anthony Heredia as chief executive officer of its Indian mutual fund unit, the firm said in a statement on Tuesday. [ID:nBOM125496]

CITIGROUP INC (C.N)

Citigroup appointed Brett Krause as its new country head in Vietnam as the U.S. bank expands its reach into the fast-growing emerging market, two sources briefed on the matter said. [ID:nSHA311115]

LAZARD LTD (LAZ.N)

The investment bank named Wouter Gabriels managing director in investment banking in Europe, effective Sept. 1. Gabriels was until recently president of the Chancery and chief of staff of Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt's office in Belgium. He will work primarily out of France and Belgium.

MACQUARIE GROUP

The financial services provider named Ryo Hayakawa managing director and Japan head of equity capital markets and Jun Ohashi senior vice president to drive Japanese debt activities with responsibility for debt structuring and distribution.
