Nov 10 (Reuters) - Warner Chilcott Ltd (WCRX.O) reported a quarterly profit that topped market expectations, helped by strong sales of its oral contraceptive and dermatology products, and raised its 2008 earnings outlook on lower cost estimates.

Net income for the third quarter was $40.1 million, compared with $5.8 million a year earlier.

Net sales of oral contraceptive Loestrin 24 FE and Femcon FE rose 33 percent and 21 percent respectively, while dermatology product sales rose 16 percent. Sales of Doryx acne treatment soared 53 percent.

Shares of the company closed at $13.40 Friday on Nasdaq.
