SANMINA-SCI CORP (SANM.O), $7.50, up 13 pct

The company posted better-than-expected fourth-quarter results and forecast first-quarter earnings above Wall Street estimates. [ID:nBNG125421]

CAREER EDUCATION CORP (CECO.O), $22.56, up 9 pt

The education company posted a profit in the third quarter, helped by strong growth in student enrollments. [ID:nBNG371626]

THORATEC CORP (THOR.O), $30.13, up 12 pct

The cardiac-device maker posted a better-than-expected quarterly profit and raised its 2009 earnings view. [ID:nBNG525323]

SMITH MICRO SOFTWARE (SMSI.O), $6.89, down 24 pct

The company's quarterly revenue came in below estimates and it cut its full-year revenue view. [ID:nBNG109828]

ON SEMICONDUCTOR CORP (ONNN.O), $7.30, up 7 pct

The chipmaker posted a quarterly profit that handily beat estimates, and it forecast fourth-quarter revenue above Wall Street expectations. [ID:nSP434262]

HURON CONSULTING GROUP (HURN.O), $26.08, up 12 pct

The company reported third-quarter results. [ID:nBNG364236]

CHILDREN'S PLACE (PLCE.O), $34.33, up 6 pct

The company reported October same-store sales. [ID:nBNG353452]

ANSYS INC (ANSS.O), $36.38, down 12 pct

The company posted a quarterly profit that beat Wall Street expectations but it forecast lower-than-expected fourth-quarter revenue. [ID:nBNG294918]

FUEL SYSTEMS SOLUTIONS (FSYS.O), $41.04, up 21 pct

The alternative fuel components maker reported a 31 percent rise in quarterly profit and raised its full-year revenue outlook. [ID:nBNG328060]

TRICO MARINE SERVICES (TRMA.O), $6.73, up 8 pct

The company posted a surprise quarterly profit, helped by strength in its Subsea Services and Subsea Trenching and Protection segments. [ID:nWEN6141]

SUNESIS PHARMACEUTICALS (SNSS.O), $0.45, up 18 pct

The company said its experimental treatment for acute myeloid leukemia got orphan drug status. [ID:nBNG333538]

ROYALE ENERGY INC (ROYL.O), $3.01, up 29 pct

The independent energy company released positive test results from its Goddard field. The company said that a well in the field flowed at a rate of 2,450 thousand cubic feet of natural gas per day, and believes that the well is capable of significantly higher producing rates.

BUCKLE (BKE.N), $29.56, down 7 pct

DG FASTCHANNEL INC (DGIT.O), $24.78, up 16 pct

The company reported its third-quarter results and announced a partnership with Google Inc (GOOG.O). [ID:nWNAB0784]

LAMAR ADVERTISING CO (LAMR.O), $28.40, up 13 pct

The billboard firm posted a narrower-than-expected quarterly loss and guided fourth-quarter revenue above Wall Street expectations. [ID:nBNG103599]

MERCADOLIBRE (MELI.O), $42.50, up 11 pct

At least two brokerages raised their price targets after the company reported third-quarter results late Wednesday.
