WACHOVIA INSURANCE SERVICES WB.N

The insurance broker named Luther Lockwood managing principal for Wachau Insurance Services, the new name for the former Barry, Evans, Josephs and Snipes.

Lockwood joined Wachovia in 1999 as a part of the acqusition of BEJS, where he was a principal with the firm.

CALAMOS ASSET MANAGEMENT (CLMS.O)

The investment firm named Cristina Wasiak chief financial officer, senior vice president and treasurer, effective Sept 1. Wasiak has been serving as interim CFO since April 7.

STERNE AGEE

Alabama brokerage company Sterne Agee named William Laverty, previously with Bank of America, as managing director and head of municipal sales, trading and underwriting. Laverty will be based in New York.

MACQUARIE SECURITIES GROUP

The institutional securities business of Macquarie Group appointed Rajeev Malik as ASEAN and India economist. It named Irfan Khan as head of structured products sales and Loretta Joseph as vice president in derivatives sales, both in India.

Previously Malik was with JP Morgan and Khan was with Citigroup Global Markets Australia, while Joseph joins from Deutsche Bank (DBKGn.DE).

PRUDENTIAL (PRU.L)

Britain's Prudential has named the former head of Man Group (EMG.L), Harvey McGrath, as its new chairman, replacing David Clementi who retires at the end of the year, the insurer said. To read more, please double-click on [nLD237401]

BONDDESK GROUP LLC

The electronic marketplace appointed Ben Fortunato as managing director.
