UBS
UBS Investment Bank hired William Ortner as co-head of structured Equity Capital Markets for the Americas. Ortner previously worked with Barclays Capital, as head of Equity-Linked Capital Markets in the Americas.
JonesTrading Institutional Services LLC
The Los Angeles-based agency brokerage firm said Monday CEO Will Geyer left the company on Oct. 15 to pursue other undisclosed opportunities. Packy Jones, JonesTrading chairman, will assume the CEO post.
Hartford Financial Services Group Inc
Hartford Financial (HIG.N) named Lizabeth Zlatkus, currently the chief financial officer, as chief risk officer. The Connecticut-based insurer is launching a search for a new chief financial officer and Zlatkus will remain in her current role until a replacement is found.
BERGER LAHNSTEIN MIDDELHOFF & PARTNERS LLP
The European mid-market specialist appointed Gary Long as president and chief operating officer. He joins from Investcorp, where he was president and chief operating officer since 2003.
ROTHSCHILD
Boutique investment bank Rothschild said it had named Rob Stewart as head of fixed income and Hugo Capel-Cure as a senior portfolio manager. Cure joins from Deutsche Bank (DBKGn.DE), while Stewart joins from UBS (UBSN.VX)(UBS.N).
DANIEL STEWART SECURITIES PLC (DAN.L)
The British stockbroker appointed Andrew Edwards as a director of corporate finance. Edwards previously worked as a director in the corporate finance section of Investec Investment Bank.
KOHLBERG & CO LLC
New York-based private equity firm Kohlberg & Co appointed Andrew Bonanno as managing director of business development. Bonanno previously worked as American Capital Ltd's (ACAS.O) vice president of business development for its New York-based buyouts group.
BANKUNITED
Florida-based BankUnited appointed Raymond Barbone as executive vice president for mortgage services, overseeing all mortgage origination and administration. Barbone joins from ABN Amro Mortgage Group in Jacksonville, Florida, where he was group senior vice president for operations.
