Excluding acquisition and restructuring charges, the company earned $1.02 a share. Revenue stood at $676.3 million in the quarter.

Sales at its corrugated packaging segment surged 58 percent to $176.5 million, helped by the company's acquisition of Southern Container in March of last year.
