MUMBAI, Aug 11 (Reuters) - Indian drugmaker Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd (REDY.BO) (RDY.N) has received approval from the U.S. Federal Drug Administration to make and market alendronate sodium tablets, the regulator's website showed.
The drug, a generic version of Merck's (MRK.N) Fosamax tablets, is indicated in the treatment of osteoporosis. (Reporting by Rina Chandran; Editing by Ranjit Gangadharan)
