India's Shaw Wallace to merge with United Spirits

MUMBAI, Nov 29 (Reuters) - Indian spirits maker Shaw Wallace & Co Ltd SHAW.BO said on Thursday its board had approved merging the company with group firm United Spirits Ltd (UNSP.BO).

Shaw Wallace shareholders would get four United Spirits shares for every 17 shares held in the company, it said in a notice to the stock exchange. (Reporting by Devidutta Tripathy)
