BRUSSELS, April 4 (Reuters) - The European Commission called again on Zimbabwean leader Robert Mugabe on Friday to respect the outcome of the country's recent presidential election.
"Of course we hope the result reflects the will of the Zimbabwean people," Commission spokesman John Clancy told a daily media briefing.
The presidential election results remained unknown on Friday, when Mugabe's party was meeting to discuss how to face the biggest crisis of his 28-year rule. (Reporting by Darren Ennis; Writing by Ingrid Melander; Editing by William Schomberg)
