KBC says U.S. bailout is positive sign

BRUSSELS, Oct 3 (Reuters) - Belgian banking and insurance group KBC (KBC.BR) said on Friday the approval of the $700 billion financial industry bailout bill in the U.S. House of Representatives was a "positive sign".

"This is a positive sign and will bring confidence and stability in the market. But we must wait and see how the market reacts when it opens on Monday," a KBC spokeswoman said. (Reporting by Darren Ennis; editing by Mark John)
