Iran council ready to recount 10 pct of votes - TV

TEHRAN, June 20 (Reuters) - Iran's top legislative body is ready to recount a random 10 percent of the votes in last week's disputed presidential election, state television said on Saturday.

"Although the Guardian Council is not legally obliged ... we are ready to recount 10 percent of the (ballot) boxes randomly in the presence of representatives of the three (defeated) candidates," a council spokesman said. (Editing by Louise Ireland)
