India to issue 3G, WiMax guidelines by June -min

NEW DELHI, May 23 (Reuters) - India is likely to issue guidelines for 3G and WiMax networks by June, the telecoms minister said on Friday.

"By June the guidelines will be issued for 3G and WiMax," Telecoms Minister Andimuthu Raja said in a speech at an industry conference, adding he expected the roll-out of such networks by January 2009. (Reporting by C.J. Kuncheria)
