Bus crash kills 30 in northern India

NEW DELHI, Nov 6 (Reuters) - At least 30 people were killed and 40 others were injured on Friday when a bus plunged into a gorge in the northern state of Himachal Pradesh, police said.

The accident occurred in the hilly Kangra district of the state, when the driver lost control of the bus packed with local passengers while negotiating a sharp bend, police officer Atul Fulzele told reporters. (Reporting by Bappa Majumdar; Editing by Alex Richardson)
