Bayer sees eye drug peak sales 250-500 mln euros

FRANKFURT, Aug 3 (Reuters) - German drugs and chemicals group Bayer BAYG.DE said on Friday it expected peak sales potential of its VEGF Trap-Eye drug at between 250 million and 500 million euros ($343 million-$685 million).

Bayer and and U.S. biotech partner Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (REGN.O) have launched a large clinical trial to try to show their eye drug is as good as Genentech's DNA.N Lucentis.
