-- Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has urged all ministries, sectors, localities and people to eliminate acute diarrhoea which has infected more than 130 people in five northern cities and provinces.

-- Vinacafe Bien Hoa Co has invested 500 billion dong ($31 million) to build its third agricultural product processing plant.

-- Crude oil transporter Petrovietnam Transportation Corp is finalising procedures to list on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange .VNI in mid-November, General Director Pham Viet Anh said. The firm has a registered capital of 720 billion dong ($44.6 million), 60 percent owned by state oil group Petrovietnam.
