Vietnam's Vinamilk H1 gross up 35.8 pct

HANOI, July 11 (Reuters) - Vinamilk VNM.HM, Vietnam's top dairy firm, said on Friday its gross profit in the first half of this year reached 777 billion dong ($47 million), up 35.8 percent from the same period last year.

The Ho Chi Minh City-based company, the largest firm on the country's main stock exchange .VNI, said it earned 693 billion dong in net profit during the first six months, or 60.8 percent of its profit target for the full year.

Vinamilk did not provide comparative figures for the net profit in the same period of last year. ($1=16,513 dong) (Reporting by Ho Binh Minh; Editing by Clarence Fernandez)
