Wed Oct 22, 2008 5:17am EDT

HANOI, Oct 22 (Reuters) - Petrovietnam's PV Drilling PVD.HM forecast on Wednesday its net earnings next year would stay stable compared to 2008 at about 850 billion dong ($51 million) as its tax break ends in 2009.

"Our performance next year should be better than 2008 but because of the corporate tax of 12.5 percent our net earning will be similar to 2008," Chief Executive Do Van Khanh told Reuters in an interview. (Reporting by Nguyen Nhat Lam; Editing by Kim Coghill)
